St. Johns Cultural Council and its “Art in Public Spaces” program has selected the work of St. Augustine-based fine artist Nancy Hamlin-Vogler and will present her exhibition Swimming in the Infinite from Tuesday, September 6 until Tuesday, November 15 at the Rotunda Gallery in the St. Johns County Administration Building, 500 San Sebastian View in St. Augustine.  An exhibition preview will be held on September 6 at 8 AM prior to the Board of County Commissioners meeting, and an evening reception and artist talk is scheduled for Wednesday, September 7 from 5:30-7 PM. Both receptions will feature Hamlin-Vogler and brief presentations. Light refreshments will be served and there is no charge for admission.

Hamlin-Vogler works on prepared paper using acrylic aqueous mediums combined with gesso, charcoal, conte, and pastels, occasionally adding pasted paper elements from silk screens or drawings. Her work reflects her history in St. Augustine, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and Maine, along with worldwide travels. Hamlin-Vogler studied art at Wells College and learned the screen-printing process while earning her M.A. in French literature at the University of Maine. An award-winning artist, Hamlin-Vogler is a member of the St. Augustine Art Association and exhibits in gallery shows throughout Florida. Visit her website linked here.
