2022 St. Johns County Arts, Culture and Heritage Grants $450,000 in Grants Awarded to 23 Organizations

The St. Johns Cultural Council is pleased to announce that 23 organizations will receive $450,000 in St. Johns County Tourist Development Council Arts, Culture and Heritage Grants during the 2022 fiscal year, which runs from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.  This year’s grant program was expanded to provide more significant support for cultural organizations based in and presenting year-round programming in St. Johns County, in addition to annual special events designed to attract visitors to the County.  The grants help to fund and promote programming and events throughout the County, from Ponte Vedra to Crescent Beach and at the World Golf Village, Nocatee, St. Augustine and St. Augustine Beach.

Unidos en la Musica: A Latin American Festival

 

 

An independent panel reviews and scores grant applications using criteria established by the St. Johns County Tourist Development Council and approved by the Board of County Commissioners.  Grant recommendations are made based on each application’s average score.

Applications are submitted during the Spring of each year, with review and recommendations made during the Summer.  The Grant Guidelines for FY2023 will be available in March, 2022 and may be found at StJohnsCulture.com.

 

The St. Johns County Tourist Development Council Arts, Culture and Heritage Grant program is administered by the St. Johns Cultural Council pursuant to a contract with the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners, and are funded entirely by tourist development taxes on overnight lodging.
