Tourist Development Council Grants

St. Johns County Tourist Development Council Arts, Culture and Heritage Grants
October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022

This Tourist Development Council (TDC) funding program is administered by the St. Johns Cultural Council pursuant to an agreement with the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners. The intent of the ACH Grant Program is to increase the positive economic impacts of local tourism by encouraging exemplary arts, culture and heritage programming and supporting enhanced advertising and promotion of these quality tourism opportunities. 

FINAL REPORT AND REQUEST FOR FINAL PAYMENT FORM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2021 CAN BE FOUND NEAR THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE UNDER OTHER IMPORTANT LINKS. This Final Report, along with the Tab Two Final Report Form, must accompany your request for final payment and must be submitted within sixty (60) days after completion of your event/program, but in no case after October 10th, whichever occurs first.

Grant Guidelines for the 2021-2022 FY include significant changes. 

Please review the guidelines, which were accepted by the Tourist Development Council on March 15, 2021 and were approved by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) on April 20, 2021, here.

All nonprofit arts, cultural and heritage organizations seeking funding based on their overall budget must complete the online Letter of Intent to Apply here by May 17, 2021.

Organizations producing a single annual event are not required to complete a Letter of Intent.

Every applicant must attend ONE Grant Workshop. 

Mandatory Online Grant Workshops are scheduled as follows:

After registration you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.  If none of the scheduled workshops are convenient for you, email to arrange an alternate date.

Individual appointments for additional assistance with grants will be available for applicants who have attended a grant workshop beginning  May 20, 2021. You will receive a link to schedule appointments at the end of the workshop you attend.

​​The Grant Application Portal is now open. The deadline to apply is June 25, 2021.

Technical Review by SJCC staff will be completed as applications are received, and no later than June 30, 2021.  

Applications are scored by a Grant Review Panel during a public meeting at the St. Johns County Administration Building at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine Florida 32084.  Applicants may attend the meeting in person or telephonically and will have an opportunity to provide a brief update and answer panelist questions. 

The Grant Review Panel Meeting has not been scheduled but is expected to occur during the week of July 26, 2021, with funding recommendations presented to the TDC on August 16, 2021.  Grant recommendations are approved as part of the Board of County Commissioners’ budget process.
