Junior ROWITA Fellowship

The Junior ROWITA Fellowship was started in 2011 by the  St. Johns Cultural Council former Program Coordinator, Joy D’Elia,  to recognize, reward, and nurture graduating high school women who plan on advancing their artistic skill through continued study and training.
There are three $500 Junior ROWITA Fellowships, one each in Performing, Literary, and Visual Arts. Candidates must submit a letter of recommendation from their arts teacher, provide samples of their work, and have a 3.0 or better grade point average. They must also be committed to using the fellowship for a college art degree or summer institute.  A panel of ROWITA recipients make-up the judging panel each year.
