Thanks to the St. Johns Cultural Council and their $500 State of the Arts Grant provided by the Florida State of the Arts License Plate Program, as well as a generous $500 matching grant from Compassionate St. Augustine, Julington Creek Elementary School’s 5th Grade Art Club students have painted amazing watercolors.  Under the guidance and direction of local resident and nationally known artist, Lynne Fascetti Mayhew, the students researched and chose 10 notable events in Florida’s history, prepared and painted these events on large panels, and placed the panels in picture frames, known as “Windows to Florida’s Past.”

These 10 “Windows” are to be permanently installed at the school, and a Dedication Ceremony is scheduled at the school on April 21, 2016 at 6:30 p.m.
