A Very Special Invitation for St. John's County Teachers (Middle and High School Only)

To all St Johns County School District Principals, Curriculum Coordinators, Teachers

Teachers, students and chaperones are invited to attend up to four full-length ‘Live in HD’ simulcasts from the Metropolitan Opera, delivered to the state-of-the-art auditorium at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, Jacksonville. Operas include: Otello (December 5); Madama Butterfly (January 30); Turandot (April 2); and Elektra, (April 30).

This offer is extended free-of-charge by First Coast Opera and Opera Jacksonville, in cooperation with Duval County Public Schools and the Metropolitan Opera HD Live in Schools Program.

Teacher attendance at a four-hour training session on November 4 is required. There is no charge for this training and a complimentary dinner is provided. 

This offer also includes a 150+ page guide for meaningful integration of the opera experience with learning goals in Music, Theater, History, Social Studies, Literature, Language Arts, Dance, Math, Science and Technology.
