Saint Augustine Ballet Holds Auditions for Peter Pan on January 16, 2016

Saint Augustine Ballet will hold open auditions for their production of Peter Pan on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Abella's School of Dance. Abella’s is located at 1711 Lakeside Avenue Unit 9, in Saint Augustine, Florida 32084. Registration will start at 10:00 a.m. Auditions begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. 

All dancers, male and female, who are currently studying ballet are invited to the try outs. Auditions are open to all students of ballet regardless of dance studio affiliations. Dancers must have turned 7 years old by September 1, 2015. A non-refundable $25 fee audition (cash or check only) will be charged at the time of registration.  

All dancers, male and female, must bring a 4” x 6” photo in first arabesque to the audition. Proper ballet attire is required:  black leotard, pink tights with hair in a bun for females; black pants and white shirt for males.   Once cast, there is an additional non-refundable performance fee of $175 to cover master classes with guest artists, costume rental with fittings, and a cast t-shirt. Once cast, dancers must commit to the weekly Saturday rehearsal schedule, occasional Friday rehearsals, and the pre-performance rehearsals held the week of May 9, 2016.  Performances will take place at Flagler College’s Lewis Auditorium on Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15, 2016.

Saint Augustine Ballet is a 501(C)3 nonprofit arts organization whose mission is to involve community members of all ages in meaningful dance experiences, whether as a participating dancer or audience member.
