Summer Camps 2015

St. Augustine, FL — Limelight Theatre offers summer camps for first through 12th grade students. High School Musical, Sleeping Beauty, Harry Potter, superheroes, space exploration and other FUN themes fill the calendar. Theatre workshops, full-scale musicals, and one-week camps will be held.

CAMPS FOR 1st-2nd GRADE STUDENTS

TREASURE TRUNK THEATRE
June 22-26
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday
$200 per student 

Our treasure trunk provides a dramatic focus for each day, concealing something mysterious and exciting. We open the trunk to discover the spark that inspires that day's interactive adventure. Each day's adventure also builds into a week-long story that we create and act out. Students learn how to band together as an ensemble and use their voices, bodies and imaginations to overcome a myriad of dramatic challenges.

DRAMA QUEST: THE FAIRYTALES OF HANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSON  
June 29-July 3
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday  
$200 per student   

We provide the flexible framework for a week-long adventure. Each class creates characters and a detailed dramatic environment to support the story we develop and act out. Each day a classic fairytale will inspire us to add twists and turns to the plot of our own epic enchanted story.

DRAMA QUEST: SPACE EXPLORATIONS  
July 20-24
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday 
$200 per student

We provide the flexible framework for a week-long adventure! Each class creates characters and a detailed dramatic environment to support the story we develop and act out. Each day, a different planet or star will inspire us on our creative journey!

WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR
July 27-31
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday
$200 per student

Classic Disney movies will provide the catalogue of music for this magical week. The students will be focusing on singing, dancing, and performing these well-loved songs!


CAMPS FOR 3-5th GRADE STUDENTS

HARRY POTTER!
June 15-19
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday   
$200 per student

Schools in at Hogwarts School this summer! Study up for your O.W.L. exams and explore the enchanted world of the magical arts! Using storylines and situations from the classic books, venture into the wonderful world of wizardry.

BROADWAY BOUND!
June 22-26
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday
$200 per student

What's going on in New York City these days? This musical camp will introduce students to the various musicals currently playing on The Great White Way! They will learn about the plotline, composer & lyricist, songs, and choreography from current Broadway shows!

DISNEY’S SLEEPING BEAUTY
July 13-24 
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday
$400 per student

Performances  

  • 7:30 p.m. July 24-25
  • 2 p.m. July 26

 The emphasis of this camp will be mounting  Sleeping Beauty Kids! Students will audition, learning choreography, music, and blocking, rehearse, and perform in Disney’s adaptation of this classic tale!

SUPERHEROES!
July 27-31
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday
$200 per student

Think you got what it takes to be a Superhero? Marvel and DC comic Superheroes will provide the inspiration as we develop our own band of superheroes getting ready for new adventures! 


CAMPS FOR MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

High School Musical 
6-12th grade students
June 15-July 10 (*No camp on Friday, July 3)
2 to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday 
$450 per student (costumes included!) 

We are kicking off this summer by bringing back High School Musical, a popular show we
staged many years ago!

Performances

  • 7:30 p.m. July 10-11  
  • 2:30 p.m. July 12  

($450 per student)

Students will audition, learning choreography, music, and blocking, rehearse, and perform in Disney's popular show!

WEEK OF WORKSHOPS
July 13-17 
1 to 4 p.m. daily
$25 per workshop; $20 per workshop for 3 or more

Students can take individual workshops only, or opt to take three or more for a package deal! Workshops topics will be announced soon...Please keep checking online. We should have them set by May 2015.

AND THE TONY GOES TO! 
July 20-31
2 to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday
$240 per student 

If you love contemporary mega-musicals, then we've got a blockbuster camp for you! This camp explores the songs from current and classic musical such as Wicked, Les Miserables, Once, and more. Everyone deserves a chance to fly!
