Calling All Angels to St. Augustine Ballet Nutcracker Audition

Calling all angels! All female and male students of dance who are five to seven years old are invited to Saint Augustine Ballet’s open audition for the part of an angel in their eight annual production of The Nutcracker. Auditions are open to all dance students regardless of dance studio affiliations. Auditions will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 11:30a.m. to 12:30p.m.  at Abella's School of Dance. Abella’s is located at 1711 Lakeside Avenue, Unit 9, in Saint Augustine, Florida 32084.

Registration for Angels will start at 11:00 a.m. Dancers must be five to seven years old by September 1, 2016. Auditions begin promptly at 11:30 a.m. A non-refundable $25 fee audition will be charged at the time of registration. Please bring cash or a check made out to Saint Augustine Ballet.

All dancers should bring a 4” x 6” head shot photo to the audition. It does not need to be professional quality. Proper ballet attire is required:  black leotard, pink tights with hair in a bun for girls, white t-shirt and black dance shorts/pants for boys.  Once cast, there is an additional non-refundable performance fee of $175 that covers costume rental with fittings, and a cast t-shirt. Once cast, dancers must commit to the Saturday rehearsal schedule and the pre-performance rehearsals held the week of December 12, 2016.  Four performances will take place at Flagler College’s Lewis Auditorium at 1:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.  on Saturday, December 17 and on Sunday, December 18, 2016.
