On Saturday, August 27th from 11am-4pm, an art showing will be held at St. Augustine Outlets to benefit four Northeast Florida charities. Those charities include St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS), Learn To Read of St. Johns County, Mission House and Dreams Come True.
The art showing is being hosted by Art 4 Charities, LLC., a Ponte Vedra business founded earlier this year by Diane and Terry Machaby.
The concept of Art 4 Charities is simply to offer reproductions of The Old Masters and some of the best-selling artwork and photography to people in their community and around the world.
The partnering nonprofit agencies agree to inform their supporters and the general public about Art 4 Charities raising funds for them and in turn these organizations receive 40% of the proceeds of any sales designated to them.
Charities are invited to sign up for the art showing by contacting our office at (904) 469-7428. Auction space is limited for the upcoming event however we will be having events monthly. So, if you do not make this event we will contact you for the next event.
If you are interested in participating in the art showing and are willing to inform your supporters of the event, Art 4 Charities will donate 40% of the proceeds designated to your organization, instead of the normal 10%.
“This can be quite a nice little fundraiser for a nonprofit”, said Diane Machaby, Director of Charity Fundraising for Art 4 Charities. “My husband and I try to make raising money and holding fundraising events as easy as we possibly can for the charity.”
Art 4 Charities was a way that the Machabys could partner with and give back to nonprofits in their community and beyond. The basis for the business came from Diane’s many years of working with charities in the area and for the couple to give back to the community that they live and love. Terry also wished to pursue his love and talent for photography and art by incorporating the printing and framing of it to sell online.
St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS) recently became a charity partner of Art 4 Charities and in turn received over $250 in free artwork and photography which they raffled off at their annual fishing tournament.
“Everyone at the tournament was very impressed with the quality of the artwork and photography”, said Robin Burchfield, SAYS’ Director of Development. “It made for a very exciting raffle and event!”
Mission House was the first charity in North Florida to partner with Art 4 Charities. Lori Anderson, Executive Director of Mission House, had heard about the company and was excited to learn more about their mission to help charities worldwide.
“Art 4 Charities is such a wonderful and practical opportunity for Mission House”, said Anderson. “The selection of art is wonderful and Diane and Terry are so generous to do this. We are so blessed to be a part of this project that will assist us in our efforts to assist those who find themselves homeless to obtain a roof over their head.”
Art 4 Charities art showings can be held by supporters of charities at their businesses, hotels, clubhouses and community centers to help raise additional funds to support a charity of their choice.
